Botox Treatments

Botox is patented protein molecule that is injected into an overactive muscle to release the muscle and thus cause relaxation of the overlying skin. The initial treatment will relax the muscle for approximately 3 months. The length of relaxation tends to lengthen with repeated treatments. Botox has been safely used in the U.S. and Canada for over 22 years. In fact Botox is the number one cosmetic treatment amongst physicians.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels have been used throughout the centuries to rejuvenate skin. When Cleopatra applied milk soaked linen wraps to her face, she was in essence giving herself a chemical peel. The process behind a chemical peel is applying a chemical (usually a mild acid) to the skin for a short amount of time. The chemical will "peel" or cause the top layers of skin to flake and stimulate the deeper layers to lay down more collagen. By taking off the top layers a brighter softer complexion is seen and with the making of collagen deeper, fine lines and wrinkles are filled.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)

Intense Pulse Light (IPL) Photofacial is a light treatment designed to remove brown and red pigment often seen in sun damaged skin, rosacea, poikiloderma and other conditions.

Microneedling is the process of making numerous pinpoint point punctures to the skin with an electric pen. The fine micro injuries stimulate new collagen production causing tightening of the skin, improved texture and coloring. This treatment is ideal for fine lines around the eyes and mouth, coarse textured skin, and acne scars.

PRP (platelet-rich plasma)

Platelet Rich Plasma is the process of drawing one's blood, removing the platelet rich plasma component and then injecting it back into the patient's skin. The platelet rich component has numerous growth factors and nutrients that have been shown to promote wound healing, skin rejuvenation and hair growth. PRP is often done in conjunction with microneedling on the face and as a stand alone procedure for hair growth on the scalp

Volume Fillers

Volume Fillers like Juvéderm and Radiesse are available. Juvéderm (hyaluronic acid) is natural filler used to replace mild to moderate volume loss. By replacing volume, a more youthful look can be restored. Juvéderm may last 9-12 months. Radiesse is deep filler used to replace more significant volume loss. The active calcium microspheres can stimulate further collagen production. Results may last up to 2 years.
